White aluminum gutter run half brightened to clean white, half still marked with dark vertical oxidation stripes

Gutter work is really two different jobs, and most companies only do the first one. Clearing the inside protects your foundation, your fascia and your basement. Brightening the outside is what actually makes the roofline look clean from the street — because the dark vertical 'tiger stripes' on the face of an aluminum gutter are oxidized residue bonded to the finish, and no amount of rinsing touches them.

We hand-clear the troughs of leaves, shingle grit, seed pods and nesting debris, bag it and take it with us, then flush every run and confirm each downspout drains freely. Blockages at the elbow get cleared on the spot. While we're up there we note anything worth knowing — sagging hangers, separated seams, loose spikes, rotting fascia — and tell you about it, whether or not it's work we do.

What's Included

  • Hand clearing of all gutter runs
  • Debris bagged and hauled away
  • Downspouts flushed and confirmed flowing
  • Exterior gutter face brightening (tiger stripe removal)
  • Fascia and soffit rinse
  • Free report on any damage we spot

The brightening step uses a dedicated gutter cleaner applied to the exterior face and hand-agitated with a soft brush, then rinsed. Aluminum oxidation is stubborn and it responds to chemistry and contact, not to pressure. Done properly the face comes back to an even white or near-original color, and the stripes stay gone.

This pairs naturally with a house wash, and it's why we usually recommend booking the two together: cleaning the siding while leaving striped gutters above it just draws the eye straight to the dirty part. Bundled on the same visit, the second service costs less than it would on its own.

For homes in Grain Valley and Blue Springs with mature oaks nearby, twice a year — late spring and after leaf drop — is the realistic interval. Everyone else is usually fine annually, and we'll tell you which you are once we've seen what comes out of the troughs.
